It's the BEST time of the year to be in Mammoth Lakes! Tons of snow on Mammoth Mountain! Yosemite's Tioga Pass opened today! Sierra Star Golf Course opened yesterday! Mammoth Motocross this weekend! What are you going to choose to do today???

It's absolutely the best time of the year to be in Mammoth Lakes! How many amazing activities can you squeeze into one day??? We were excited to hear this morning that after several arduous weeks of some serious plowing by the National Park Service, Caltrans, US Forest Service and even the Mammoth Mountain Plow Crew, Tioga Pass Highway 120 into Yosemite is officially open today! Its only a 25 minute drive to Tioga from Mammoth Lakes and well worth the visit. Yosemite Valley's waterfalls are booming at capacity and it's the best time of year to see this natural wonder.

Here in Mammoth, California's highest elevation golf course, Sierra Star Golf Course just opened yesterday and the 18 hole championship course looks beautiful. And of course, you can't forget Mammoth Mountain! With the record-breaking winter this year and the huge snowpack still up on the hill, start your day with some great spring skiing or snowboarding on the world-famous Mammoth corn snow. There's still tons of terrain open, including the parks, superpipe, chairs 1,2,3,11 and both gondolas... and the coverage is just incredible. For you motocross enthusiasts, this weekend is also the annual Mammoth Motocross out at the Sherwin Meadows motocross track. If you are into some great trout fishing, the Mammoth Lakes Basin road is also fully plowed and is now open. There's still a lot of snow up there, but I hear there are some big, hungry fish in Lake Mary. Convict and Crowley Lake have also been reporting great conditions with some lunker trout catches. Down in the lower elevations, there are lots of great mountain biking single track trails wide open. So.....with all this variety...how much fun can you squeeze in to one day???

The longest day of the year in only a handful of days away, so make sure to take advantage of everything that Mammoth Lakes has to offer!
